I find myself thinking back to you.

I feel those feelings of before lingering around my hands when I write. It's possessive, like you're telling me to keep writing about you so I don't end up forgetting. I'm not one to forget those things, I don't really like forgetting. I think forgetting is scary, I think I'd rather lose myself than forget the things I've seen and heard, the fabric that's unraveled in my fingers and that skin that's brushed against my own. You are not the only thing that I actively want to forget, but I won't, I cannot risk making the same mistake I made when I told you I loved you. These thoughts will always linger, swirling around my head like fish in a bowl. I think I should stop writing about you.
