Can we just appreciate, having learned Emmett’s background, the amount of restraint that Emmett showed in his opening scene while Aaron Schultz was going on about his yachts and being a pompous creep? He didn’t even blink. Emmett has enough self-control for the whole of Harvard Law.

How did Bea persuade Shakespeare to come to Nick's trial? Did she beat him at arm wrestling? I bet she beat him at arm wrestling.

Me: "There's a very sad musical that I like, and in the middle there's a song with the repeated line, 'Life's a sham and every move is wrong.' That's how I am."

Him: "Okay, great."

Vivienne should have dumped Warner’s ass at that party. I get why she didn’t, since at that moment it looked to her like Elle was trying to swoop in and steal her boyfriend away, and she wasn’t giving up that easily. BUT, Vivienne is working so hard, doing the networking that is THE WHOLE POINT of going to Harvard Law in the first place, and Warner’s like, “I’m getting a beer.”

He said he wanted a Jackie (and by the way, HOW DARE HE even mention Jackie *or* Marilyn with his horrible mouth), but failed to appreciate her. I’m so glad Vivienne realized he was holding her back.
