Icarus: I saw something and thought of you today.
Icarus: How do you feel about sapphires?
Twinkling Lights. Jingling bells. People dressed as elves and fat man in a Santa suit. Add to that the oh so merry carolers and it was no wonder Icarus’ jaw was set into such a hard edge. All this reminded him of was a time when his freudian father and hostaged mother dragged him out for all their friends to see and praise how handsome he was and how smart. Before the show would start he and his mother were threatened within in an inch of their hides on what punishment would await should anything go awry. The forced perfectness of this faux winter wonderland brought the memory swirling back, and with it a temper he was fighting very hard to keep in check. He was here because she wanted it of course, Mia, and he knew she deserved a reward for putting up with some of his more depraved endeavors so here he stood. Pretending to make nice with her friends while drinking what was essentially chocolate water passing itself off as a sweet treat. To soothe himself he snaked an arm around Mia’s waist and pulled her flush against him, knowing the tight leather pants she wore would allow her to feel just how much his anger was going to affect her later. Not caring of his audience his head ducked to place an open mouthed bite against her neck. Reminding her who she belonged to tonight. Somewhat calmed, he allows his arm to relax as the top of his chin rests against atop her pretty mess of hair, once more going back to being unobtrusive as she interacts with her friends. @onlymia
