Head Canon #1

After the war and the inquiry into the Malfoy's private lives, Draco and his parents took a vacation together - the first of many. It had been the first vacation that the three Malfoy's had taken all together since the youngest Malfoy was a young child. 

They went to the beach. As Draco watched his haggard father stand on the rocky shores, letting the water lap at his pale feet, Lucius' lank hair blowing in the wind, he cried. When his mother approached his father, and wrapped her thing arms around his waist in the first loving gesture he had seen his parents share since his childhood, Draco cried harder and went down to the beach to hug them both. The first hug they had all shared since his childhood.

After this vacation, the Malfoys were much closer in their own ways and knew that somehow, they'd be alright.
