btw there’s a big difference in tone and wording in the way al-hashimi and robby told mohan she’d be good in geriatrics.

al-hashimi was being straightforward and professional. she didn’t have any sort of bite behind her words. she simply saw something special in mohan and wanted to voice her opinion. as a mentor and superior, that’s what you should do.

but robby? his words had fire behind it. he spent the entirety of season 1 calling her slow. he’s been nothing but condescending to her the entirety of season 2. and, instead of giving honest and genuine direction, robby told her that she seems to have a disposition to “that pace”. reaffirming that he still believes she’s slow at her work.

so, regardless of if robby thought or was trying to be nice, it certainly did not come off that way. and you can see it in the way mohan reacts.
