Natural Selection 2 Redesign: ONOS

Named after the final words of the first witnesses of this living dreadnaught, the Onos is the largest and most resilient of the Hive Kharaa's breeds. While most of the hive breeds rely on evasive tactics to take out threats to the Hive, the Onos charges directly towards it, withstanding ballistics with little effect to it's hellish momentum. Most enemies meet a quick end via a horn through the torso or simply being crushed against a wall, though a hungry Onos promises a worse fate.

It's head carapace is stronger than any other member of the Kharaa Hive, shielding much of the front, though it's hind is much more vulnerable It is also near near blind as it's eyes have developed under the blackened shell. The Onos has also developed itself for psychological warfare, with it's dangling engorged pneumatic veins adding range to it's roar and modified shoulder shields able to rattle along with it's war display.
