Uncharted Worlds

The planet Ontarom always gives me a feeling of melancholy. Life thrives on its surface but its moon's decaying orbit spells doom for the planet's ecosystem. The proposals to stop the process are economically impossible so the only thing that remains for the galactic community is to record Ontarom's lifeforms before their world is gone forever.

Kinda wanted to recapture an iota of that initial magic at the start of the trilogy, in exploring worlds equal parts inspiring and goofy.

Do you think results will be clear enough on election night? I've heard that with so much mail and early voting, it could take days, and the divide between those and in-person voting between republicans and democrats could give reps a bump early on.

95% of early votes will be counted on election day. Florida has already started counted. I don’t think many, if any, key states will be so close that it comes down to the other 5%.

For WIP folder, ontarom?

*rubs hands together*  Ooooo, Ontarom!  Well, Caleb is a Sole Survivor, and we all know what happens when Shepard goes to Ontarom, right?  After they return to the Normandy, Caleb retreats to his cabin to be alone, but Ashley and Kaidan aren’t about to let that happen, not after that, so Ashley brings him dinner from the mess and Kaidan brings a bottle of whiskey and three glasses.  They sit around for a bit while Caleb eats, then start drinking toasts - Irish ones, in particular (which becomes a thing for Caleb - from which the following snippet comes:

When he opens his eyes again, he finds both Alenko and Williams staring at him, alternating looks of surprise and somberness on their faces.  Taking his glass in hand, a smirk twitching at his lips, he says, “Let’s try something a bit more appropriate now, shall we?”

Alenko blinks.  “Got something in mind?”

Shepard grins, turning his glass in his hand while watching the amber liquid inside.  “Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last.”

Williams snickers softly, clinking her glass against the others.  “Okay, now that makes a bit more sense at least?  But, Skipper, I have to ask - is that your philosophy?”  Her eyes are bright with amusement.  “I mean, we’ve all seen you dance …”

He grins over at her, refusing to take her bait as he downs the drink.  “Aye, Chief, and it’s worked well for me so far.  You ought to try it sometime.”

“Oh, I don’t know,” Alenko muses with a soft chuckle, “I think you’ve got her beat.  You haven’t heard her sing yet.”

Shepard sits back in his seat as he finishes up his meal, eyeing the pair and for the first time in a very long time, offering a prayer of thanks that he made it off of Akuze that day.

But isn't there a difference between saying their face is handsome, and saying the body is attractive? I feel like they don't neccesarily go hand in hand, but then I don't know many furry people so I'm afraid to assume.
