Contrary to popular belief, not really enemies-to-lovers as much as best-frenemies-to-lovers. Upper and Lower Canada got along pretty peacefully up until the whole Province of Canada fiasco.

They care deeply for each other and they’re practically inseparable, even if they bicker a lot and don’t always agree on things.

Lots of childhood inside jokes. Gossiping to each other and having extremely passionate arguments about the silliest things imaginable.

Super competitive, they both try to one-up the other with super extravagant romantic gestures and dates.

Ontario isn’t really a big fan of pda and neither is Queb, so most of their kisses and cuddletimes happen when they’re in private.

Drunken spooning and snuggling on the couch.

Ont looooves to spoil the heck outta Québ, who I would imagine is more on the rough-and-tumble side and not really used to being pampered so they’re like ??

When they go out on a date it’s either all gussied up in nice suits/dresses or in comfy flannels, jeans and Kenora dinner jackets.

Québ is the only one who can successfully convince Ont to take a break when they’re on a workaholism spree.

Moonlight swims and splash fights in the Saint Lawrence river.

Long camping trips out on their lakes, complete with folk tales and ghost stories. They’re both nature lovers, even if Ont can’t rough it to save their life.

tl;dr they’re basically just an old drunk married couple with a whole lotta history together 11/10 quality ship
