lowkey going insane bc I'm kind of obsessed w the Odile face mould but there's like. 6 dolls with it, and most are either insanely spenny collector dolls or basic-ass budget dolls

so I got the budget dolls and some made-to-moves to rebody and the mermaid one went perfectly! and then I went to do the other one and the skin tone matches.......... but bc the original is a petite, so the head looks weirdly tiny on the full-sized mtm body 🤦‍♂️

so I go aiight okay let's look up articulated petite dolls and oh boy guess what there's not much variety in those either, but one of the Looks dolls seems promising................ nope, the skin's a shade too dark, poor girl looks like she mismatched her foundation

so my next try is going to be creatable world bc I'm a stubborn asshole and I am DETERMINED to find a match for her 😤

BERRY IS COMPLETE!!!!

I got home from being away since Saturday to find the boots and socks I ordered had arrived. They fit perfectly (and I slipped a wee rosebud in one for a finishing touch) and gosh I am so in love with her /)3(\

The dress was a custom commission from Spider8Lesley, the wig is available from edenworkshop and the socks and boots are available from Morpalier. Etsy really is a wonderful place >3<

The hairband is made from beading wire and tiny craft roses, the ear clips are made from beading wire, pom-poms and pipe cleaner. The camera was bought from eBay and painted with a mix of burnt umber and copper acrylic paint.

Berry’s wig arrived today and I am so so pleased with it!! She looks adorable and it covers up her ears (and what’s left of Rosabella’s hair) very nicely u3u

I had a bit of difficulty with her hair accessories due to the volume of the wig, but I loosened the hairband and made the ears into clips rather than a band and they look lovely~

I MADE BERRY’S EARS AND CIRCLET!!

They were actually surprisingly easy to make, I’m surprised at myself o3o the ears are wire, pom-poms and pipe cleaner and the circlet is wire and tiny fabric roses!

Would anybody be interested in seeing a tutorial video/post on how I made these?

Today is a day of exciting deliveries!! I got a bunch of crafty bits and bobs for my Berry custom and I also got the dress I commissioned for her /)3(\

So far I’ve only had time to paint the first coat on half her boots, and I also did a little detailing test on Kitty’s bag - I actually really like how that turned out, the white centres really pop UvU

The dress was commissioned from Spider8Lesleyon Etsy, she was a pleasure to order from, really great communication and I definitely recommend checking out her store for the other doll clothes she’s made! She also put in an adorable pair of knickers and a couple of diddy necklaces as well which are so cute

So I finally have my base doll for my Berry Red OOAKD /o/

She has core Rosabella’s body and Epic Winter Rosabella’s head

I chose Rosabella since she has tanned skin and brown eyes and I rly didn’t want to attempt re-painting if avoidable - I have repainted her lips with a pretty gel nail polish I found and her freckles and beauty mark are eyebrow/eyeliner pencil

for now

idk how well that’ll stay on, gonna have to look into some way to seal it I guess?

I’m gonna get some bits and pieces I need for her accessories from HobbyCraft once I get paid on Friday

I’m commissioning a person on Etsy for her dress and pinafore, since I don’t rly trust myself with a sewing machine

aaaaand I’m ordering a doll wig bc I Hecked Up™ her bangs and I tried putting her hair in pigtails but it wouldn’t stay covering her ears? Also I think her hair should be a more orange-y red than Rosabella’s rosey pink/brown mix
