the one thing i loved about playing through death stranding the second time was trying to imagine how john felt upon seeing sam for the first time in adulthood after not having seen him since the incident with cliff (and i think shortly thereafter too), and how nerve wrecking that must’ve been.
also, sam coming back from his first huge chiral event with cliff like “hey yeah there was this army man who’s looking for his bb”, i just know john was shitting his pants like
