olivia is pretty convinced that, as this moment, she’s made of mimosas. she spent the entire brunch drinking her weight in the drink. it’s socially accepted that you can drink mimosas at 11 in the morning and who is olivia to deny herself and her bridesmaids of that? jacob had his own brunch at the same time on the other side of town. they made a point of being nowhere near each other so they didn’t have to worry about each other. though, of course, that was all olivia did. she spent the entire meal talking about jacob and their wedding, which was the point of it, but the moment she showed her bridesmaids the dress she had bought two days prior, they all lost it. up until that point, only her mother and jacob’s had seen it, having been with her when she picked it out. their reactions made her certain she had chosen the right one. now, she was nursing a banging headache and trying to get some work done, but there was no chance in hell she was going to be able to stare at a computer screen all day whilst she felt like this.
she finds herself climbing on top of jacob on the sofa, pressing her face into his arm to block out the light. she groans and presses her hand into his face. “i’m never drinking another mimosa again.” a lie. she’ll be at brunch in a few days, drinking like it’s going out of fashion. after a moment, she slips between jacob and the back of the sofa, settling herself in nicely. she wraps her arms around his body and looks up at him. “how’d i get so lucky with you, mr. lancaster? the prettiest boy in the whole world.” she grins, leaning up to kiss him lightly. “mhm, how was your brunch? were the boys good to you? was ray good? i know what a pain in the ass that man can be.” olivia snorts, lacing her fingers into jacob’s hair. she loves her brother with all her heart, but the man can be an idiot when he wants to be. still, he’s the reason she’s where she is right now, so she owes him that much, at the very least. // @trcnscendant - JACOB LANCASTER
