Okay, I have hit my absolute fucking limit.

Nothing pisses me off more than someone whose only reason for not plotting with a particular muse is that they don’t find the fc attractive. I put hours, sometimes days of thought into each and every one of the 40+ muses on my page, and I will be damned if the faceclam I picked is the only reason they don’t interest you. If I could get myself out of my drawing slump and draw pieces of art for every single one of them I guarantee I would, but I choose to use faceclaims as a matter of convenience. Hell, half of my muses look very different when i describe them as opposed to the actor or model i picked as their proxy visual aid.

Do you know how creepy it sounds? I’m not here to play out some fantasy about a faceclaim, I’m here to write original (or canon) characters the way I picture them, and it feels like all you’re here to do is picture two actors fucking. There is a reason I try to use pretty obscure faceclaims.

So please, if you’re going to do that, just don’t send the meme, don’t IM me to plot, don’t waste both of our time. I’m through being nice about it because it’s something that just keeps happening.

hey fam, I know my muses don’t have the kind of broad appeal that a lot of the popular blogs have and that we may not share kinks or plot preferences or whatever, but a clear ‘thanks but no thanks’ is a lot better than ignoring messages or pretending to be friendly

i’m an adult, i can take it. i would much rather you tell me you aren’t into me than lead me on. i honestly don’t mind if you need to unfollow me, even block me. but just remember that i put a lot of love and effort into my muses and it is incredibly discouraging to come on this blog sometimes.

it isn’t like i don’t put a warning in my blog description and more warnings in each and every muse’s description, so i honestly have no idea what i’ve done to turn someone off unless they tell me

Listen, this isn’t against anyone in particular, just an observation from several conversations I’ve had since making this blog — I can tell when you’ve only looked at the faces on my muse page and not scrolled through the info. I know ymmv when it comes to kinks and to each their own but I’m finding myself changing my muses time and again to omit things the other person isn’t into. While in itself this is not an issue, since I am a versatile writer and enjoy what I do, I feel like if it’s removing an entire facet of their character or personality to suit someone else, maybe I’m not the partner for you. Following just to read is fine.

Please read my muses’ entire bio and my rules before IMing to plot. Please read a few threads in their tag if you’re curious about something not expanded on in their bio. I put a lot of work into these characters and their stories.

I put effort into making sure everything I do that could be uncomfortable or triggering is listed so that you, dear follower, can decide if I’m the type of partner you’d like or even if you’d be okay seeing me on your dash.

I also expect at least some ooc interaction. I make IM, Discord and Kik available to my mutuals so we can plot and discuss things, I like to get a feel for the people I write with. Call me old fashioned but I honestly prefer talking out the major details before I ever make a post in the plot. Helps prevent confusion or discomfort later on.

Just a little thing because even when no one has mentioned it I sometimes get anxious about it:

One of the reasons I start a lot of threads is to see what grabs my interest. I'm not always going to have a spark for a thread -- some threads are just duds. That isn't on any of my partners or on me, it's just the way creativity works. I will never deliberately drop a thread without letting you know, and if I do seem to simply stop replying to something you were invested in, I welcome OOC IMs and make my s.kype and k.ik available so we can talk about it. Maybe we rewrite the starter. Maybe we reuse the plot with other muses.

ADHD isn't fun and my hyperfocus has cost me solid RP partnerships, and for that I apologize. <3
