Just thinking about Zhang Rishan who loves the opera after seeing your post. How he, for whatever reason, is tasked by Fo Ye to watch over Er Ye, who happens to have a performance that day. Rishan staring up at Er Ye with wonder as he watches the performance with such focus that later Er Ye finds him so they can talk about it. Zhang Rishan complimenting him and smiling full bunny teeth style as Er Ye explains everything to him.
Decades later Er Ye is an old man watching Xie Yuchen perform and decides to teach the boy a song to hum or sing if he’s ever stuck on a problem and can’t find a solution. Xiao Hua questions why out of all the opera pieces Er Ye chose that specific one since it isn’t even a well known piece. Er Ye tells him that a friend found great comfort in it once and would ask him to sing it on a rare occasion.
Some years later Zhang Rishan happens to see Xiao Hua singing that song as Wu Xie and Xiuxiu watch on. And just for a moment, he is 20 years old again, standing in the opera house watching Er Ye perform.
