Dipper and Mabel were going to be camping in the woods a little bit away from the mystery shack. Dipper got a hint from his journal about some mystic plant that only blooms under a certain moonlight in a small part of the forest. The flower was said to grant wishes to those who witness it's bloom. Therefore, Dipper had to be there so he could find out who had written the journal and all of the information behind it. Mabel was tagging along to keep him company and because she just wanted to see the pretty flower bloom.
"Alright, Mabel," Dipper said once they had their campsite set up. "I have calculated the exact time the flower should bloom due to the angle of the moon beams and the timing of it's rising. Assuming all is correct, in a few hours when this timer goes off, we should have approximately 5.32 minutes to get in position to watch the flower bloom and get our wishes."
"Alright Dipper. Whatever you say." Mabel said, curling up with Waddles in her sleeping bag. She stretched and yawned. "Boy am I tired tonight. Just wake me when it's flower time." With that, she drifted off to sleep. Dipper soon got in his own sleeping bag, checked his alarms again, turned of the lantern, and went to sleep.
A few hours later, Dipper woke to the sounds of something outside. "Mabel?" He whispered. He turned and saw she was still asleep with Waddles. He saw a shadow pass in front of the tent. A sinking feeling grew in his stomach. "Mabel." He whispered again, one hand reaching for his flashlight, the other tapping her gently as he prepared for whatever was outside.
