Theo; No. Not your job to help me. Listen, I want to be better. First rehab, then university. I never graduated, technically I dropped out, but only need two more classes to get a degree. At least then I can get a better job, an honest way to make money. 

Ladybug: Right. You know I’ll be here for you. I don’t care who you were in the past, just as long as you’re honest about being better for the future. I do love you, despite everything. You asked if I’d wait for you, but you didn’t even have to. I would wait no matter what--I’ve already waited. I’m not letting you go again. You’re stuck with me Trotter, for better or worse.

Theo: [Chuckles] You are always so dramatic. It will not be easy, not really an easy journey to take. I will always be an addict. Even if I get my life together, will always have that over my head. And you--you should not forgive me so easily. Should be angrier, I really hurt you.

Ladybug: Yeah, very true. I don’t know, I’m angry, but what’s the point? It’s not helpful. I just want to move on, with you. You telling me all this--it’s a big step. Yes, you’ll always be an addict, but you’re choosing to be better. That counts for something. I’ll be there for you, for whatever you need, but please don’t do it just for me. Do it for you.

Theo: I have been wanting to quit since I started as a kid. Just never had anyone care. You are not the sole reason, but the most important one. I just want a future with you, whatever that will be. As long as you and I are together, things will be perfect.

Stomping our feet, we drug up the rich soil as we leaped around each other, the small silver bells attached to our ankles by twine ringing as we twisted and danced and spun around each other near a raging open flame. The flame danced with us underneath the sea of stars, the beloved Norse gods looking down on our celebration in joy.

Dancing in circles around each other, we finally closed the distance between us as our now united people cheered and stomped with us, filling the air with the upbeat music we crave to hear on blessed nights like this. Her fingers intertwined with mine and our chests flushed together. We laughed, we spun, and we love. Her wild curly hair bouncing with each step, as red as the fire we dance around. My short, subtly wavy hair flew and sprung as well, but I'm sure not as beautifully as hers.

I am her wife, as she is mine. This is our wedding, alive and bright. A ceremony of equals and unrestrained love, with the support and love of our people beside us.

We are heathens, proud and true.

And as lovers and partners, we will forever be.
