OOJOO
RIP OoJoo (우주)
I am so sad and wished that we could havw known each other longer. All your cage mates are super nice, you were the friendliest. From the moment we met you climbed into my hand and you would sit still while I pet you. You even gave me licks. I will miss you so much. I am glad you went peacefully.
(those are not poops-- they are dried red currants!)
There are mice in my pockets!
OoJoo
Last night, when I got home, OoJoo looked a little off. I took her out-- actually she just crawled into my hand-- and she looked terrible! :C The way her eyes were, and her fur was, I thought she wouldn't make it through the night. Her spine around the thoracic area looked a little strange, like she had a dowager's hump. IDK how she would have injured her spine because she is in a small carrier with the other 2 mice until I get a different cage with even smaller bar spacing.
I took her and held her in my hand to keep her warm. She ate some Babybel Lite cheese. She would fall asleep in my hands and nuzzle against my fingers or my shirt when my hand was held against my tummy. She did not look good at all-- I thought she would die in my hands. And then she crawled up my shirt onto my shoulder and licked my neck as if to say thank you! Then she crawled back into my hand. She drank water out of a water bottle cap and actually started to look better. I put her back with her mouse family.
This morning I found her still alive. I warmed her up in my hands again and shared some oatmeal and water with her. After a while, I put her back again and put some extra fabric for warmth. I hope she will recover... but at least I can make her comfortable.
I'll keep y'all updated.
