I hate joe chill with a passion dc uses the bitch too much. The one joe chill comic i liked was the batman 2004 cartoon tie in where he was so paranoid about bruce discovering he was his parents killer that he started seeing his face everywhere. That was good shit fucked me up as a kid.
There's a few good stories and the rest are clearly the author couldn't think of something original and thought they were cooking with this fresh new take (they're not) but the one in the beechen run. Oh God. So you know how bb already starts out w a hitman killing Warren and Terry fighting the guy, processing his emotions about that and coming out of the experience determined to be a hero and take down Powers (who ordered the hit)? Yeah well this comic poses the bold question of what if that was stupid didn't matter at all? Bc you see. In actuality. Fixx wasn't the one who killed Warren at all. It was in fact a random guy bc Fixx didn't want to pull the trigger himself and brought his own hit squad to his hit to hit the target. And THAT guy is the one who fires the fatal blow on Fixx's orders, even tho he hesitates bc he was told they were just coming to intimidate Warren. And who's that guy, you ask? Why, the son of Joe chill ofc!! Bc we all wanted a legacy character of that!! So after killing Warren he's wracked w guilt just like his father (or grandfather idr) but instead of letting it drive him to madness he uses it to fuel his mission to become a new Gotham vigilante--a tale which he reveals to Batman one day and gets the shit beat out of him for, not that he understands why. Just so Terry can go through the same arc again but worse! As if this run doesn't already repeat rotj but worse!! That's bb comics for y'all!
