One Woman: Oona Tempest

Following our tutorial it was suggested we look at Oona Tempest and her progress in becoming a sushi chef. It was a really enjoyable video as it showed how she really pushed to achieve her dream, and the casual style it was presented really worked in making you feel comfortable and like it was a conversation over a video. It doesn’t feel like one of those ‘on your period you can do anything!’ adverts, its more like showing in a personal way that your period doesn’t define you and that the stigma and rumours about periods are all false to demonise it and make it seem like something to be ashamed of and feel lesser about.

It was really inspiring to see how Oona really pushed to achieve her goal and break these stigmas in a likely very male dominated market, due to these stigmas.
