I'm glad you liked it! I was trying to make it seem really sweet and like he was taking care of reader because it was her first time. I'm actually still thinking about whether he can still shift into his true form or whether I want his punishment marks to also extend to curse marks and make him be stuck in his human form. At any rate, even if he did, it's not fitting in there. He is gargantuan in his true form, as big to a human as you would be to a flea. As for mating, Helegywn has to bite reader while they're having sex and then reader has to return the bite, thus completing the bond.

Not every mating bond has to be completed by biting, though, between mates who are platonic or asexual, it can be done through a mind meld? thing? I guess like Spock style or Eragon if you've ever read those books. Biting tends to happen more between romantic mates, or it can even just be preference. Of course, since Helegywn has a biting kink, you can guess how that's going to go.

Also, I'd like to add that mates are determined by the god that created the supernatural creature, in this case, the Sun Goddess. They, along with their two sisters, the Moon Goddess and the Star Goddess, watch over their children carefully to determine who would be a good match for them and then orchestrate a meeting between the two. Higher level creatures like dragons and angels and whatnot feel more ambivalent about their mates, the bond is more of a suggestion with them, but those under the Moon Goddess feel much more of a pull to their mates, like Sydney.
