SNAP! - Ooops Up (Official Video)
Snap!: Oops Up
You know how everyone has loads of useless information about something?
One of the things that I bank useless information - and I mean fucking USELESS - about is 90's dance music. Specifically, 90's dance-music-acts that people perceive as one-hit wonders. I stress 'perceive', because they're not one-hit wonders to me... they released at least A follow-up single, if not more than one...
So that's the useless information that I know - 90's dance-music-act follow-up singles to their big hit. As I said, FUCKING USELESS.
Case in point: Snap.
Most-renowned for their 1990 hip-hop-house smash hit, "The Power" - a song that will be used to promote energy drinks for the remainder of time. It was back when rap and dance music cohabited, a trend that's kinda-coming back (maybe)...
Anyballs - this is Snap's follow-up to "The Power" entitled "Oops Up!". Fun title! Of note in this video:
A.) The chick singing is vocal twins with Lauryn Hill... like DEAD ringer...
B.) The lyric: "I'm as hard as Chinese Math".
Can we start saying that?
Have a good weekend.
