With the Ocean Saga released, do you think you'll be doing any animatics for the new songs?
funny you say that
traveler-con is a literal CON
IT IS :D
1, 5, 15, and 17 for the dnd asks?
nat 1. most memorable crit fail?
I only played my druid for a two-shot, so two sessions, which doesn’t seem like very long, but it was wild. We were all level 15 and by God did I love her. My most memorable crit fail would be on that one. The party was in the forest and came up on a few bears. They weren’t aggressive and we were pretty sure we had to talk to them, so I, being a goddamn druid, was like ‘yeah okay.’
Long story short, I cast Speak With Animals and attempted to ask the bears questions we had. My DM had me roll Persuasion - with advantage - to see if I could get them to help us out.
Double ones. It was hilarious. We had a ranger with us, luckily, so she did Survival and found the damn path for us, but holy shit.
5. a fun fact about your character?
I’m gonna keep talking about my druid, because I miss her. The fun fact is that I did not make her. I was a back-up player for a person who was an absolute dick. They were scheduled to start, and the story revolved around the party already knowing each other, so I got asked if I minded playing. She was already made, though I got to mess with her spells and some of her backstory. I didn’t really know what to expect - I’d only played a cleric at that point and topped out at level 3 - but I’d already watched CR and was like, ‘Okay, well, watch some Keyleth stuff, read your spells, and go.’ It was a blast and I’d definitely play a druid again. She was Circle of the Moon, and I’d love to bring her back.
15. the most creative solution to a problem / encounter / puzzle that you’ve thought of?
I managed a Dominate Beast at level 7 on the beast who was guarding the place we needed to go into. We were losing a battle, we were very tired, and it was just going badly, so I Hail-Maryed a Level 7 on the goddamn thing to give us a break. And hey! Turns out that if you succeed on that, it’s concentration up to eight hours. So basically I had that motherfucker stay put until everybody else got inside, got the thing we needed, and got out.
17. describe a near-death experience.
Can I cheat here? My druid did die. She died at the end of the two-shot. It was actually really heartbreaking, because in the end, someone had to stay to close a gate. I’m not going to go too far into detail here, because that’d take too long, but in the end it was me that did it, because according to our stories, I was the only one who didn’t have family waiting for me. Her family was the party. And the way I’d played her was that she would do anything for these people, and cared deeply about the world (’cause you know, druid). And it took a bit to convince them, but we didn’t have much time and we were low on health and spells. It was heartbreaking, okay, I cried. Thanks to Critical Role, for making it easier for me to get to a place where I can roleplay, because it made that part hit so much harder. God.
(Edit: the reason I say the d20 killed her was there was a chance she could make it out, but the DC was super high. Not impossible, considering her Dex, but I rolled a natural 2. So.)
when you get this you have to answer with 5 things you like about yourself, publicly. send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool) 💕💕
Ohhh alright, if you insist XP thanks erin <3
1. I can be pretty damn witty if I do say so myself. Growing up with my dad and younger siblings really helped sharpen my comeback skills
2. I like how my writing skills have developed since I first started writing back in middle school
3. I appreciate my eye for details and errors, especially since I want to be an editor one day
4. Even if it can be something of a curse sometimes, I like how ride or die I can become for someone or something I care about
5. I love being asexual! There’s stigma, of course, and I have to deal with people I love not understanding or accepting it, but I wouldn’t change that about myself whatsoever
Patron Saint of Awesomeness
AW THANKS ^_^
Sasha loves elephants. She's never seen one in person, but if you show her a picture she will scream and steal it from you. She just has always fucking loved elephants.
(Sorry I seemed to have missed this friendo! Mobile isn’t good with inbox stuff.)
Agrix can sew, and he’s very good at it. His mother was a seamstress, while his father ran his own business, and as a kid he spent much time around both of them, but took an interest in his mom’s work more than his dad’s. He’d often practice with Bender’s clothes, patching up tears and holes that his friend seemed almost supernaturally good at making. He still enjoys it as an adult, but doesn’t have much time for it for obvious reasons.
I love Sam Claflin too ♥ just thought i'd share the love
jkczcjkjksda he is SOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing. I mean I know I've only known about him since On Stranger Tides but still. Haha. Before summer is over I plan on watching everything he's been in.
