I just watched the first episode of Ooku. I was pleasantly surprised! I was worried that it would either be a classic "women can't handle power" anti-feminist story, or an "all men suck" false-feminist cash-grab. But it is neither! The lady in charge is sharp and fantastic, the plague that kills the men is treated as the tragedy it is, and each character is developed and unique. I hope that this continues throughout the rest of the episodes.
