OP 902 Initial Reaction
Holy shit, it’s fucking finally over! No more Pudding, no more fucking teenage angst, no more speaking about character development when there actually is none. Thank whomever.
And before I’ll rub some people the wrong way when it comes to Pudding, this is how it is: I can be compassionate about people’s lot in life without having to actually like them. In a real life situation, I’d even go as far as to help them. Because I’d consider it the right thing, not because I feel any kind of sympathy towards them.
That being said: Merry Christmas to SanPu shippers and Merry Christmas to people like me who have been longing to see this arc end.
Other stuff:
- Brûlée and Katakuri interactions were nice to see
- Sanji and Zeff parallels were .. something. I don’t know, I really don’t care. Seems more like Oda is trying to end the arc on a high note than something truly meaningful. Kind of a waste for the last panels (See, it has already been made clear on more than one occasion that Sanji considers Zeff his real father and nothing during the entire arc would have given the impression of a stronger or even a comparable bond between Sanji and Judge. Dunno about other people, but I’m not a Goldfish and believed Sanji the first 20-odd times.)
- Couldn’t care less about Jinbe, tbh (Don’t hate me for this).
- Was there something else? Maybe, can’t remember.
- IT’S OVER!!!
