"Hey! Everyone in here needs to knock this shit off, they're people too you know!" Max comes stomping back into the waiting room and stares at the security guards with their hands still on Oscar—which he thinks he's done an immaculate job of not being an asshole to, all things considered—and shoos them away.

Ollie > Y/N
Oscar Piastri. your best friend's teammate and roommate. the guy who had been pissing you off since your first year in uni. well, not really. when you first met him, you couldn't help but like him. he was sweet, kind, had a hot as fuck accent that you wouldn't mind listening to for hours and hours talk about god knows what.
you would almost consider your first year fascination a crush. Lando had seen it immediately, teasing the fuck out of you for it, and daring you to ask him out. and when you did, it all came crumbling down.
"no," Oscar replied, looking you up and down with an unamused look, before walking off into the crowd of people at the house party.
yeah, so that had shattered your heart and any feelings in an instant. the way he scanned you as if assessing your worth had made you feel like shit. you'd gone home that night in tears and cursing his name. Lando was the only one he knew. not even Ollie, the underclassman you'd taken under your wing.
since then, the two of you haven't been able to get along. passing him meant silence or a sneer of last names. and trying to spend time with Lando meant having to put up with his cold presence or having to pencil yourself into Lando's schedule when you knew Oscar wouldn't be around.
it was difficult to say the least. moving on wasn't an option, especially when he was everywhere. the library, the hallways, the court, the greens, parties. EVERYWHERE.
"hey! y/n! over here!" Lando yelled out as you crossed the quad, heading over to the library. the padel boys getting off of the bus that had just returned from their winning match.
"Lando!" you smiled, meeting him in the middle to give him a hug. "congratulations! i'm so proud of you!"
"thanks, babe," Lando chuckled. "wanted to see if you were interested in coming to the party tonight? mine, 7pm?"
"i really shouldn't..." you trailed off, noticing oscar out of the corner of your eye. as much as you hated him, you also wanted to respect that this was his win and he was allowed to celebrate without you being pissy at him.
"come onnnnnn," lando groaned, his hands dropping to his sides. "it'll be the party of the century and i want my best friend in the whole world to be there."
you raised your eyebrow. "fine, but don't be surprised if i leave early."
"YAY!" lando yelled, wrapping his arms around you. "oh and invite that bear kid if you want! the more the merrier!"
"ollie?"
"yeah him!"
"sure, whatever you want, lan."
"i've gotta go and start prepping, but i'll see you later!" lando patted you on the shoulder. "and dress hot!"
the tiny black dress clung way too tight, tighter than you would've liked, but as you stepped into lando (and oscar)'s dorm, you realised it was way too late to turn back. behind you stood ollie, and the rest of his underclass friends, kimi, isack, franco and gabi. you couldn't help but feel like a mother duck as they followed you inside.
"damn," ollie whistled. "oscar looks hot as fuck."
your head almost snapped to look at your enemy. ignoring your younger friends' giggles, you couldn't help but stare. there he was, wearing a white button up covered by a black crew neck sweater. his black slacks finely ironed with no wrinkles in sight, and his hair swooped into that middle part that couldn't help but get you swooning.
"yeah, i get why you have a crush on him, y/n," franco bit his lip, staring at the australian padel player. "i want to climb him."
"shut it, i don't have a crush on him," you muttered. "i need a drink."
you pulled the flask out of your purse, unscrewing the metal cap and taking a large gulp.
"drinking already, y/n?" lando snickered, coming up behind you to wrap you in a hug.
"someone's gotta get this party started," you hummed.
"wow, insulting my party already."
"you know it, mate."
"well don't let me stop you," lando let out a laugh. "i guess you don't want to know that oscar asked if you would be here tonight then."
"he what?" you reeled your head back to look at him.
"yeah, witnessed it with my own two eyes and ears."
"the plot thickens," ollie gasped.
"shut up, ollie," you groaned, burying your face into your hands. that didn't hide your rising blush, your ears and neck being coated in red. "you're lying."
"nope, he seemed pretty interested in you being here. asked if i should invite you."
"the plot does thicken," kimi smirked.
"not you too," you pinched your nose bridge.
"i'd say shoot your shot," lando whispered to you.
"are you crazy?" you whispered back, almost screeching at him under your breath. "the last time i took your advice on that, he rejected me and looked at me like i was gum under his shoe."
"that was 3 years ago, y/n," lando replied, caring but not pitiful. "you need to get over it, who knows you might surprise yourself."
"we'll see," you muttered, letting lando leave your side to go mingle with others. you weren't surprised when your little ducklings young friends dispersed to go talk with people they knew.
you let out a sigh as you walked into the conglomerate of people in the living room, making your way to a wall to lean against.
"enjoying the party?" oscar asked, sliding up next to you on the wall, a beer in hand and red solo cup. "vodka and coke, yeah?"
"yeah...how'd you know?" you replied suspiciously, taking the cup from him.
"no one else drinks it, it's pretty easy to remember such a weird drink," oscar replied with a shrug.
"thanks," you grumbled into your cup.
"you didn't answer my question. are you enjoying the party?"
"yeah, i only just got here so as much as i can."
"good," oscar hummed, taking a sip of his beer, before looking at you expectingly.
"what?"
"nothing, just waiting for insults to be hurled at me like normal."
"i'm trying to be nice today. don't make it hard."
oscar couldn't help but chuckle at your remark.
"classic y/n."
"okay, rude," you retorted. "no need to antagonise me, asshole."
"oh but its so fun to see you mad," oscar smirked, whispering into your ear. the feeling of his breath against your ear and neck made you shiver.
"shut the fuck up, piastri," you huffed when he laughed at your reaction, moving off of the wall to walk away. his hand caught your wrist.
"okay, okay! i'm sorry, i'll be nice," oscar smiled, letting go of your wrist and holding up his hands to show his surrender.
you rolled your eyes and moved back to stand against the wall. "you seem to be very interested in me tonight? high off of your win?"
"i'm always interested you, no win needed," he took a tentative sip of his beer, his brown eyes staying locked onto yours.
"you're being weird."
"maybe i just know more now than i did 3 years ago."
that got you quiet, your gaze moving towards the party.
"did lando set you up for this?"
"no setups," oscar frowned. "just realised that i missed a good opportunity."
"what are you on about?"
"come with me," oscar held out his hand for you to take, and reluctantly, you took it. curiosity killed the cat and all. oscar's hand was warm, and all you could focus on was controlling your breathing, trying to stop the giddiness in your chest from becoming obvious.
the aussie sat you down on his bed in his room, sitting down next to you, so close you could feel his thigh against yours.
"so you gonna tell me what this is about or am i gonna leave you high and dry?"
oscar sighed, looking down at the beer sitting in between his legs in his lap.
"when you asked me out, all those years ago, i thought it was just a bet you were trying to win."
"why the fuck would you think that?" you retorted. "i'm not a bitch."
"yeah, well i overheard lando daring you to ask me out and here i was thinking this girl, who's so out of my league, is gonna ask me out to humiliate me," oscar explained, taking it slow. "i kind of thought lando was only daring you so that i felt more confident in myself."
you were silent. at a complete and utter loss for words.
"and then you started hating me so i just thought it was because you couldn't live up to your bet."
"you're so fucking stupid, oscar," you sighed. "so why now?"
"lando. i asked him a couple weeks ago why you hated me and he was honest, and i couldn't get you out of my head," his hand moved over to yours on the bed as he put his beer on the bedside table. "i've been a fucking dumbass."
"yeah, no shit sherlock," you snorted, but flipped your hand up to interlock your fingers with his. you used your free hand to direct his face towards yours. "but i think we've still got time to make things right?"
and before you could blink, oscar's lips were on yours. his hand left yours to cup your cheek and neck. soft, but with a small prickle from a previous day shave that had already started to grow back. you let yourself be taken away by the kiss, letting oscar move you so that he was on top of you on the bed.
you tucked your hand at his shirt before he pulled away. "i don't want to do this just yet. i don't want you to think i just want to hook up," oscar explained, looking down at you. "i wanna take you on a date first."
"yeah," you smiled wistfully, looking up at him. "i'd like that."

Masterlist
Summary : You and Oscar have been dating for years but the distance between you had caused an inevitable break up, but you're too addicted to stay away from him
Word count - 1913
Based on Iloveitiloveitiloveit by Bella Kay
It hadn't always been this toxic.
It started out sweet, with romantic gestures every weekend accompanied by cute dates and 'just because' flowers. It was the kind of love that you watch on tv and pray happens to you, the kind that makes you smile when you think about it.
Though that didn't last for long. Nothing good ever does.
Somewhere along the journey, the 'love' turned from romance to quickies whenever you were in the same city -- which was never long given that he's an F1 driver and you're a popstar who tours the world constantly.
It turned from what everyone wanted to what they avoided.
You assumed that when you were finally together for the Christmas break, things would be fixed. That you'd be able to solve your issues with communication and that the love you held for one another would be enough.
You were wrong.
What started as a two week trip to his home country to experience the hot Australian summer, turned into you packing all of your things and leaving for good.
It was clear to everyone around you that you were both still in love with one another, you just weren't meant to be. And maybe that was okay, maybe that was destined for your relationship with Oscar, maybe it was supposed to end like that.
But Oscar had never been one for believing in fate, nor had he ever been the person to conceal what he was feeling. So when he showed up on your doorstop exactly a month after the 'breakup' you weren't exactly surprised.
You knew that you should've turned him away, you knew that it was a bad idea to open your front door wider. And you knew that it was stupid to let him pick you up and carry you to your bed as he muttered apologies.
You were one-thousand percent smarter than that.
Yet still, the next morning you found yourself curled up in his arms as he refused to let you go.
"What are we doing, Osc?" You questioned, sleepily opening your eyes to look at him. "We're back together." He shrugged like it was normal. Like your friends wouldn't scream at you if they found out. Like it wasn't a bad idea.
"No, we're not." You disagreed, not wanting him to believe that one night in bed together would solve months of silent heartbreak that you'd both endured. "Okay, then we're not together. Either way I want you." He whispered sleepily, not quite understanding your concern.
"Oscar last night was a lapse in judgement, this can't happen again." You sighed, yet still let yourself sink into his touch, letting yourself be comforted by the soft sound of his heart beat once more.
"Mhm, we'll see about that." He laughed, tightening his grip and falling back into a soft sleep.
You really tried to stick to your word, you did. But when your concert led you to the same city as him, you really couldn't help yourself. When you were Oscar's girlfriend, you made it a priority to know his driving schedule like the back of your hand and even though you had already broken up by the time the 2026 season started, you kept to your habit.
Which in hindsight was a terrible idea. Just like it was a terrible idea to message him and just like it was a terrible idea to let him pick you up and put you in his sheets.
Thankfully, your friends hadn't caught on yet, at this point it was still just your little secret.
Because once they found out? You'd never be allowed within a hundred feet of the man.
Maybe there was something sadistic about the way you constantly went back to him. You knew you were being used by him for sex but still, you just couldn't let go. At least this way you knew he was still yours. This way no one else could have him.
"This is the last time, I'm serious." You huffed, watching as he nodded, pretending to believe you.
"You say this every time, and every time you come running back. You're so easy." He laughed, leaning back against the headboard, his bare torso pulling your eyes in no matter how hard you tried to look away.
"Excuse me?" You gasped, clearly offended by his words. "Not in like a bad way! I just mean It's obvious we still love each other, you just don't want to admit it. I'm just waiting for you to face your feelings so we can be happy again." He explained, though his words didn't give you any comfort. Instead, they worsened every thought of self-doubt you'd had.
"I think we're done here." You muttered, quickly getting changed and leaving his hotel room.
Despite having been broken up for three months, you hadn't announced it to the pubic because despite your fame, both of you were very private people. But you needed the speculation to stop, it only fuelled your flame. Instead of making some cringe influencer announcement, you simply unfollowed him everywhere, not wanting to draw any attention but also wanting to set a boundary for yourself.
That boundary didn't last very long, though. Not when you went to a bar with your friends and he just happened to be there, still wearing the necklace that you'd gifted him for your two year anniversary.
After downing one-too-many shots, you found yourself on the dance floor feeling the effects as you and your friends jumped around to one of your songs, something the DJ had decided would be hilarious to play upon noticing your arrival.
Before you knew it, two hands snaked behind your waist pulling you close to him. At first you expected it to be Oscar.
But Oscar never smelt like cheap champagne and his hands certainly didn't feel like that. Still, this was a better option than ending up in his bed again.
You turned around to face the mystery man, who seemed enamoured by the way your hips swayed to the love song you'd written for Oscar when you were seventeen and had just started dating. Not sensing the stiffness in your movements, the man reached for the back of your neck, pulling you in for a kiss which you reciprocated purely because you needed to get your mind away from him.
Within seconds of the man's lips pressing against yours, you felt two familiar hands tugging you back. "Absolutely not. You're mine." He spoke into your ear, his voice dark and his breath smelling of expensive tequila. "You don't own me." You spat back, trying to keep your tone even as his hands sent shivers down your spine.
The man, who seconds ago was obsessed with you, had disappeared to find another girl much younger than him, clearly not caring that you'd been claimed by Oscar.
"I know I don't own you but you're still mine." He quickly span your around to face him and pulled you into a deep kiss that made those butterflies raise in your stomach like they always did around him.
"You're gonna be the death of me." You sighed, knowing that his hold over you was far too strong for you to even think about saying no to him. "I have an idea, follow me." He smiled, pulling you by your arm out of the bar, making both of you abandon the groups you came in with.
"Not like I had much choice." You muttered under your breath, yanking your arm back as soon as you were outside. You raised an eyebrow at him in confusion as he pulled out his wallet and then a single coin.
"Heads you take me back, tails I leave you alone since you claim to despise me so much." He leaned forward, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before lightly stroking your cheek.
"C'mon, I've loved you since I was fifteen. The least you can do is give us a second chance!"
"More like ninth." You coughed out, rolling your eyes with a smile as he got the coin ready to flip.
Feeling impulsive, you reached your hand to his, covering the coin to prevent him from flipping. "How 'bout, heads we go to yours, tails we go to mine?"
"So you'll take me back?" His eyes lit up. Oscar had never been the party boy much like you'd never been a party girl but since the break up it seemed that he was trying to change who he was in hopes it would draw in your attention. But it didn't matter how nonchalant he pretended to be, you could still see the puppy personality inside of him.
"If you actually change how you treat me then why not. Now, you gonna flip or what, lover boy?" You questioned, feeling impatient as he stared at you in shock. He clearly hadn't expected this outcome.
He flipped the coin but before he had any chance to see what it landed on, he rushed to you, pulling you into another deep kiss. Though this one said everything you'd been pretending wasn't there for months.
"Heads, guess we're going to yours." You whispered in the kiss, briefly looking at the floor to see what the coin had landed on.

Chapter Twenty-Three//Archive Locked
He's tried. He swears that he's tried. But it's so hard to fight all the time—and he gets tired too. Perfection was never on the cards. And he doesn't understand why he has to be when that's why Jesus died.
OR
Lando is a mess, his thought process is not there at all, arson ensues
a/n: the worst writers block has hit me so this is what came of a 10 minute timer & a dream
oscar's tie felt suffocating.
he shuffled in the seat, the pew, trying to adjust his shoes that felt two sizes too tight. he wasnt even sure he was going to show up to this, but he never could say no to you.
he remembered when the envelope came into his mailbox, you had timed it for him to be able to be home and receive it during summer break. his hands shook, the cursive of his name feeling like a guillotine.
opening the envelope, sat your wedding invitation. he noticed immediately it was different than the others you had shown him on your pinterest board all those years ago, but times were different. you were different. he looked at your photo, a smile plastered on your face. god, when was the last time he had seen that smile in his direction? a year ago? two?
sitting in the pew now, he wonders what would've happened if he had rsvped no to this wedding. he glanced around, sat on your family's side of the church next to your cousin who you had told him stole one of your boyfriends in school. was this were he was resigned to? sitting with the people you invited out of obligation?
he noticed the church was different than the ones you had always talked about getting married in. the more he focused on it, everything seemed different than before. the colors— sage and beige, you had once called cliche and basic. you had said before you rather die than have colors like that, and now, they were your wedding colors. the flowers— lilies. you didn't even like lilies. you loved peonies. the draping, the bridesmaid dresses, the venue, everything was the complete opposite of what he had known you wanted.
he wiped his hands on his suit pants, trying to wipe the clamminess away, and maybe his pain too. he assumed this was his penance. his cross to bear for all the years of pining, yearning and assuming you'd be by his side forever. but the fates weren't as kind to him. while he was off focused on his career, on making it, assuming you'd be there, you fell in love with someone else. someone who wasn't him.
the crowd stands, and he stands on shaky feet. the song you chose starts to play— at last i see the light from tangled ; his brain suddenly starts to play every twisted memory of the two of you watching the movie together under covers and whispered secrets.
as you and your groom say your vows and seal it with a kiss, it feels like a mirror shattering in him. all the stolen quiet moments with you play in a blur, and he wonders if he was stronger, if he was more present, would that be you and him instead?
hi! i’m randomly taking out some of my stories and i wouldn't be sure if i'll put them back again. if you wanna read your faves (if there's one) you should now because it might be gone tomorrow. 🥹
