Hey Beau can I ask you something, who are Opacare and Eosos I heard that you met them and had problems are they dangerous?
I’m not exactly sure myself. They seem to be some sort of wicked dopplegangers, with Eosos in particular being a rancid thorn in my side. It’s hard to find them once they go into hiding, like the nefarious cockroaches they are. Luckily, I’m sure all of the spirits here can tell the difference between us. He doesn’t quite have my voice down. Dangerous? Yes, but not invulnerable. Everyone has their weakness, evil beings doubly so. It’s simply a matter of finding it.
@opacare
“Please don’t touch that, it’s a collectors piece.”
(leaf symbol) + Eosos or Opacare
Eosos strolled to the center of the room, stopping at a strange lump on the floor. Said lump, if you pulled away the large, purple cloak and far too big top hat on it, was actually his little sister, Opacare. She was working on a puzzle. Piles of matching color pieces had been formed. There were a few joined bits here and there. Mainly, though, she was focused on creating the border. All but the bottom had been completed.
“Ah, creating a work of art, are you?” He crouched down, balancing on the balls of his feet. “I bet you’ve been at this a few hours.”
She didn’t look up as she shuffled more sky blues into their respective mound. There was a soft grunt, though, and an almost imperceptible movement from her chin to indicate a yes.
He looked over her tidy tiny hills and jagged scenes of half made faces and bodies. He pressed his fingertip against one lone piece. “I think this…” He scooted it over to another solo bit. “Goes to this.” He clicked them together and picked them up. “What fun!” He grinned as he held up what was now part of a tree.
Lines of orange and red snaked up his veins, as if his blood were magma. When it reached his fingertips, it oozed out from his cuticles, and ignited as fire when it touched the cardboard. “Whoopsie.” He dropped it, right onto her nice color clumps. Miniature flames bounced from piece to piece, and soon the whole puzzle was a smoldering pile.
He giggled, watching the pieces curl and blacken in the flames. The laughter grew, erupting into a loud, long cackle.
Opacare lifted her head to stare at him. She watched him a while, then slowly blinked her big, violet eyes and stood up. Not a word left her lips. She simply snapped her fingers. With that click, the shadows darkened and took new shapes. They twisted, wrenching themselves off the walls and onto the floor. They’d taken the shapes of huge, growling hounds, and all were headed for Eosos. Ears back, lips curled back in snarls, they only took a few more steps before lunging.
She watched him hit the floor. Her expression didn’t change as he screamed.
She’d have to go find another puzzle now.
^Hi there, I was wondering if its ok if Opacare could encounter Lily, since she acts childish and curious^ From behind a rather large bush a pair of purple/violet eyes glowed curiosity as the owner watched the other mortal girl who was playing next to patch of flowers.
(Certainly! Send me something anytime. ^_^ )
Lily hummed a tune rather cheerfully, ignoring the fact that it was, in fact, supposed to be a dirge. She curtsied to the flowers, pretending that they were guests to a fancy ball she was attending, just like Cinderella. As she twirled about, she caught sight of something that made her gasp- a pair of eyes watching her.
“Wh- who’s there?” the girl called.
*Beau Meeting Opacare* While doing his normal rounds in the mansion, Beau walks by the trophy room and notices the door unlocked. He goes into the darken room to investigate and ends up finding a small girl (one of the shades, but he doesn't know that yet)
He watched the child for a moment, and then scanned the room for another adult. Brow creased, concern etched into his features, he slowly approached the girl. “Hello there, little one.” He leaned down, hands on his knees, to try to look a little less imposing. “Are you all alone here? Are you looking for your momma and papa?”
Dusk over Thunder Mesa
Opacare discovering Phantom Manor short story
Down below in the secret corridors of the Gracey Mansion, six shadowy figures roamed around. Sitting atop of a fallen column was one of these figures or shades to be corrected. This shade was just sitting there quietly, its glowing purple/violet eyes shinned as it was deep in thought, around it moved different types of shadows each a different servant to a different master. The sitting shade looked up to look at the other beings like itself across the room, the other two shades were talking to each other one of them held a large cloth to its face. The shade that was sitting or she as her gender was could only tell who they were by only the glow from their eyes, she could tell that it was her other younger brothers Lutus and Eosos. Lutus was talking to Eosos about something but she couldn’t hear what he was saying but by the way that Eosos was just listening it must be important. She knew Eosos loved his younger brother and the only one that he wouldn't yell at (or try to bite) but even then still she was amazed at how Lutus dealt with Eosos behavior, as the rest of them didn’t want to be around the mentally unstable specter. But she guess that one of them had to be his babysitter and Lutus took the job, but even then non of the them wanted to be around Eosos since the event that happened earlier and the reason why the orange eyed shadow had a large cloth held up to his face. She shuddered mentally at the memory of what happened, of when their leader had shown them what will transpire if they would disobey, and it was something she hoped she never will go through.
Around the corner of the room another dark shadow floated into the large almost cavernous room. Just by how much darker this one was she could tell that it was another member of her family, and by the color of their eyes she knew right away that it was her other brother Vespere. Vespere who was the oldest out of all them, and also her oldest brother was also the only one of the spiritual family that she really close with, seeing him as her big brother while he saw her as his little sister. Even though she never spoke most of the time of or show any emotions at all as well, when she was with Vespere she really could open up around him, and he in turn was the same as the other members treated him as a weakling (due to the soul gem he had). But she never treated him as below her, in fact she often would seek him out on things that she need help on and he would gladly help, she also thinks that he also apperatiacts the way that she treated him as a equal in terms of the power they have Since she herself has the second weakest soul gem but has numerous powerful ability's she possesses lead her to being seen as a more powerful member.
“there you are sister dear” Opacare was taken out of her thoughts by the sound of the familiar voice of her brother calling her name, she looked over to see the dark shape float over to her. “sister dear I finally found you, there is something that I must discuss with you” Vespere said Opacrae floated down from her sitting spot and glided toward her brother. At Vespere side that both floated along in the large empty corridors, “sister as you know by now we are creating a plan of attack on this manor” Vespere said to his younger sibling “sister Midnight has already summoned enough servants to help with phase one, but there is something else that we must do” Opacare titled her shadowy head at her older brothers remark “each of us must find a form that we can use to move freely without being detected mostly the image of one of the spirits that are in this house” Vespere said. They both stopped and faced each other “I would suggest picking out a form that you can use as a disguise and a physical appearance, we cannot just be shadows moving around or we would be spotted by the spirits or the mortals” Vespere said in a more serious tone. Opacare took her siblings words in deeply while still retaining her blank, silent appeal the brightness of her eyes the only thing giving her brother the knowledge of her understanding what he was saying. That’s when they both heard a blasting noise that echoed down along the walls and shook the stone floor, “it seems that sister Midnight is still opening rifts” Vespere turned toward the area where the noise was coming from “then that means that am going to be needed to round the more impulsive ones that emerge up” he then conjured up three more copies of himself “ I apologize sister but I must attend to this matter, just keep in mind what I told you I will see you in a little while”. Opacare watched her brother float away with his clones, and as soon as he was out of her eyesight she moved away to another part of the underground area.
After a bit of just floating she found herself in a small circular room, that may have be used once for storage long ago. She moved toward the wall and sat down against it, listening to the drips of water falling from the ceiling. She thought about what her brother said about finding a solid form to take, since none of the others seem to figure out what or who they would look like she really didn’t know where to start. None of the spiritual beings in the mansion really did anything for her she thought they were all just uninteresting to be honest, but she knew she had to choose a form at some point she couldn’t remain just as a floating mass of darkness forever. As she was diving deeper into thought a sudden whirlwind started in the room which caused her to snap out of her thinking, her eyes glowed a brilliantly bright in shock as she looked around quickly to see what was causing the sudden wind. To answer the shades question a red glow appeared near the far wall and it grew to a large size causing a blast to sound out, the shade shielded her eyes for the light but lowered her hand as it dimmed. Looking at what was now floating a couple of inches from the ground she quickly realized that it was one of her sisters portals, deciding that she really didn't feel like meeting anything that came out she started to move away till she noticed something. The portal was still nothing was coming out, but she could she something moving a bit closer she could faintly see something inside the gate.
It looked like there were shapes, large jagged ones inside but what also caught her attention was the noticeably shape of a house. Despite the surface of the portal moving in ripples and swirls she could make out that it was a house and a large one to, she ended up closer then she attended to the mirror surface and before she could pull back she sudden was pulled into the portal and transported to wherever it lead to.
