plot : fake dating au based on funny story by emily henry . our muses decided to room together after each of their respective partners decided to cheat and get together a handful of months before mine was supposed to get married , displacing her in a part of the country she's never lived in prior to said relationship . the cheaters recently announced that they are getting married and invited both of our muses to the wedding .

" i don't know what's wrong with me , okay ? it just slipped out . " sally cringes , pacing back and forth in the living room she shared with her ex - boyfriend's new fiancé ex --- what a mouthful that was . " it felt like he was rubbing it in my face ! telling me that he doesn't want me to feel sad that i'd have no one to bring . can you fucking believe him ? " in her pacing , she nudges a book too hard on the coffee table with her shin where it lightly wobbles her glass of water but thankfully doesn't tip onto the carpet below . " and so i just ... kind of told him that i wouldn't be going alone , we'd go because we're dating . isn't that funny ? "
