I received a commission in June through word of mouth to paint a lovely woman and her cat, Laila. This piece has taught me so much. Patience, because this took an entire month to complete. I’ve never worked on a painting for this length of time before. How to paint an arm, because I’ve never painted that before. And a book, because that was new to me too. But now that it’s done, I feel so satisfied. My client loved it and I’m so glad.
