Charles Martin (33) joseph gordon-levitt relationships: Veronica Martin (half sister), Alfonso Moretti  (employer)

Charles's mother had been poor and friendless, but that didn’t stop her from making her way in the world.

She was an assassin for hire — doing whatever job she could get for the most money. 

She was beautiful and she used that to her advantage. Most of her targets had been politicians and drug lords who couldn’t resist a pretty face and all she had to do was slip something into their glass. 

Veronica and Charles were both products of their mother’s jobs. 

Charles's father had been the leader of a drug empire in El Paso. 

Charles and Veronica have both carried on the family business, even though their mother has passed away sometime ago due to her lifestyle. 

The Martins do not want for anything, but both Charles and Veronica like the work. 

Charles has worked for the Morettis and Connoghans before, but unlike his sister, he's been able to remain separate from them. 

It's always been just about business for him. 

While his sister has been hired by Connoghan, Charles has been hired by Moretti for the length of this blood feud between the two families. 

Charles doesn't care who comes out on top, as long as he is paid for killing his targets.

Andrew Clark (33) benedict cumberbatch relationships: Adam Cassidy (friend)

Andrew's recently been brought onto the payroll by his friend, Adam Cassidy. 

Andrew never had many friends, but Adam was his roommate in college and they had to learn to put up with each other. 

They've been friends ever since. 

While the Morettis have always had their own means of gathering information, Adam felt that it would be beneficial to have someone outside the Family to gather intel in Boston. 

Andrew mostly works gathering information on Connoghan, his known associates, and their next moves -- if he can get them. 

Cassidy has vouched for him, so the Family has his trust. He does his job well, but he does what he wants when he wants to and the rest of the Family has little patience for him. Franco, Tony, and Sonny, especially, have a hard time getting on well with him and for this reason, he deals mostly with Cassidy directly. 

Cassidy has kept him away from the Don, however, as Andrew can be rude and the Don will never tolerate anything less than the utmost respect.

Don Alfonso Moretti (57)

Immigrated with his parents to America in 1963.

His parents were poor

His dad sold vacuums

his mom was a school nurse

He didn't built his empire until he was in his twenties

He got involved with another Family as a foot soldier and quickly worked his way up

There was the war of the Five Families in 1978, which was an outright bloodbath. 

It left the Italian Families in New York without many of their key players. 

Moretti had always been a leader and his peers looked to him for guidance

He started his own Family and took in the remainders of the other Families to work for him

Since then, he has had no competition cornering the hotel, casino, and olive oil markets. 

Once you are a part of his Family -- blood related or no -- he will do almost anything for you

But you will owe him a favor -- to be repaid, in time, as he sees fit

He was pretty intense in his youth, but he's mellowed now and prefers intimidation to murder, although he knows when it must be done.

He loves his Family above all else

you touch them you die (no really you do)

He was about to move his son to underboss when he got sick

So his son never got the training he had wanted to give him

He is afraid he isn't ready

He knows Tony would be a better fit

And Mike better still, but he is very traditional and wants to let his son prove himself.
