You were born into this lifestyle. Everything you ever wanted was given to you on a silver platter, without even having to utter as much as a please or thank you. You are lucky. You never had to work a day in your life, but it felt so empty as you got older. Possessions meant less when you had so many, your home nearly bursting at the seams with material things, but for whatever reason it wasn’t exciting, anymore. As an adult, you’ve started seeking the thrill, the excitement in other places. Perhaps you search for that fire in the beds of courtesans, or in crystalline glasses of liquor, or hazy sweet clouds of opium. Sometimes it works, you feel that spark of electricity that used to be so constant, but sometimes it doesn’t. All of this begs the question, how long will it be until you’re bored of all of this, as well? What will you turn to when this game is over?
THE PRIMADONNA: She is the physical embodiment of indulgence and for that reason alone, you decided you just had to have her. The two of you are alike in that you both want nothing but the world, and you are more than happy to give it to her.
THE CINEPHILE: You never did like their films, but you have always enjoyed a good show over dinner and drinks. In this case, the show is often the way their face turns red and steam billows out of their ears when you tell them exactly what you think of whatever show they’ve been working on.
THE DOCTOR: You do not trust their effortless wit, the way they act as if they are the smartest in the room. There is just something about them that gets under your skin.
