and I was reminded that not everyone knows about Open-Shell, which has saved my sanity when it comes to Windows 10 and 11. So if even now you're still screaming and wishing you could have a working Start Menu again, Open-Shell is for you.

I need help finding a thread

I don't seem to have reblogged it so I can't find it, but there was this thread with loads of talk about windows and how shit it is, giving different apps for a better control over it and some talk about Open-Shell because windows 10 searchbar is shit with a conclusion of linux users being like "What?!"

Hey if you're using open-shell on Windows 10 (and presumably win 11) and are wondering why your icons on the taskbar mysteriously go invisible and can't be unpinned from the taskbar and yet are still there, go unpin that program from the open-shell start menu and the icons will reappear on the taskbar and begin acting normally again
