Secret: She’s the Deity of Happiness and longs for a family despite knowing she cannot have one due to her immortality.

The Beatles lied! Happiness isn’t a warm gun! She’s like a teddy bear! She’s cute, soft and always smiling. Much like Cara, Phoebe is always seen skipping places and dancing. She never has a problem showing people how happy she is, despite possibly looking weird. 

Phoebe only takes one thing seriously—her job. She knows that without happiness people have no hope. Happiness never wants anyone to ever be without her. She’s seen how the absence of joy can destroy people.

CONNECTIONS: 

Love and Peace — Happiness works very closely with these two Deities and loves them both dearly. Mira and Cara are her partners in crime. She’s so greatful that they are so close. 

The Creator — Phoebe loves the Creator. She trusts him wholeheartedly and believes that every decision he makes is carefully thought out. 

Sadness — Riley is so cute. Phoebe feels horrible for him when he gets sick because of all the people who are sad. She focuses on the saddest people the most in an attempt to make Riley get sick less often. 

Death and Aidan — Happiness knows that Ryder and Aidan’s lives are surrounded with joy. She makes sure of it. Phoebe loves their son, too. She often gives them pep-talks when Ryan is feeling upset. She wants to make sure they don’t add to his emotions because she has seen how depressed sad teenagers get. 

Forgiveness — Happiness of course worries about the baby of the family. Ryan is the first and last human turned Deity. He is a miracle. Happiness makes sure all the people in his friend group are happy around him so they can take care of him and provide him comfort. 

Fury — Happiness believes Anthony has changed for the better. He seems much more enjoyable to be around now. Yes, his job is to make mortals upset and angry. Yes, sometimes he does still completely embody that anger but he always keeps himself in line. Happiness has high hopes for him.

Secret: Cara is the Deity of Love and wants to have a summer romance with a mortal. 

Cara isn’t blind to how ironic it is that the Deity of Love hasn’t had a lover in years. Even Fury is pining for Alex and he just came back to the world. Cara’s always wrapped up in a new crush but they never seem to go anywhere. Nor does she ever get to the point where she falls in love with the men that catch her eye. 

Despite her wanting to be in a relationship, Love gets pleasure from seeing happy couples together like Death and Aidan. However, she doesn't only enjoy couples. Cara likes seeing people accept and love themselves. Once they fall in love with themselves they become the best lovers. Cara is always so happy with herself. She’s always seen dancing, skipping, humming/singing and joking around. 

Cara often tries to spread love to her fellow deities, even Hatred, just so they become happier. She hopes Hatred falls in love with himself. Although, how they decide to use that love (either loving themselves or loving someone else) is up to them. 

CONNECTIONS:

Peace — Mira often comes to Cara begging for answers. Why is she attracted to Caden? Cara personally loves those two together. Mira is the only one that tells Cara about her relationship with War. Love enjoys being confided in. Cara looks at Mira like a sister. 

Happiness — Cara and Phoebe often work together. Cara really enjoys working with Phoebe. Both Happiness and Love are very close to each other. Happiness, Love and Peace are always together. 

Death — Although they never work together, Cara loves when she sees Ryder happy because of his love life. He once was so boring and emotionless before she threw love his way. 

Aidan Devine Wilde — Cara knows Aidan tries to downplay her love for Ryder in public but Cara can see that it takes everything Aidan has in her not to shower her husband in constant affection. Aidan is a lovely person and Love is very happy that Death chose her. 

Forgiveness — Cara is happy that Death’s child is the opposite to Fury. Ryan’s crush on Violet makes Cara excited. He’s really growing up and it’s so cute.

Secret: Mark has anger management issues and gets easily jealous when it comes to having a girlfriend because his last girlfriend cheated on him. 

Mark is sweet. He will buy you chocolates and teddy bears for no reason but he's got a wicked temper. Mark has a notoriously short fuse. He's got a no bullshit policy and that's just the way it is. No exceptions. He's very protective of his friends and family.

He's the oldest of 4 brothers who live back home in New Jersey. Mark's a real family man, too. He loves his parents but he practically melts in his mother's arms when he sees her. He'd bend over backwards for that woman just to make sure she was happy.  

Just because he's sweet doesn't mean he isn't flirty when he's not in a relationship. Mark will flirt with just about any girl he finds attractive. He's done with healing from his previous relationship and is ready to find someone new. Maybe he'll meet someone at The Office, the restaurant he waits tables at. He likes his job. They gave him the summer off so The Damned could go on tour last year. They promised to do it again this year, too but only if they go on tour. Mark can't just take the summer off without a reason. 

CONNECTIONS: 

The Damned (Ryder Wilde and James Clarke) -- Mark and James live together. They've been friends since childhood. All three members of the Damned joke around a lot. Mark views both Ryder and James as his brothers even though he's got another 3 at home. 

Aidan Devine -- Mark is fond of Aidan. She seems to bring out the best in Ryder. He considers her a friend through Ryder. 

Alex Knight -- Wow, Alex is so pretty. Wow...she's so pretty. Uh, Mark doesn't really have any other words for her. He knows she's Ryder's best friend but...WOW. 

Ryan Wilde -- Ryan's a cool kid, a good kid. A little kid but that's ok. He knows Ryder and Ryan are brothers so Mark likes to treat Ryan as his little brother, too.

Secret: Both his parents were sentenced to life in prison after the two killed their parents. He was physically abused up until 3 years ago. He also knows about Ryan and his immortal family but hides it from the Creator.

Nick has been Ryan's best friend since the 3rd grade. The two became attached at the hip at nine years old and haven't let anything come between them since. Nick is the only one who knows about Ryan's secret and has promised to guard it with his life. He's never let Ryan down.

Nick had a horrible life at home. His parents physically abused him up until they were sentenced to life in prison just three years ago. Naturally, Nick hates his parents more than anyone in the world.

Nick has always been the class clown. He tries and fails to be the cool kid but that's what everyone loves about him. At the end of the day, Nick is a loyal friend and is here for you in the hardest of times. 

Connections:

Ryan Wilde -- Nick and Ryan are brothers. There's no two ways about it. Nothing will ever separate them. No girl, no Creator-bullshit, nothing. He doesn't like to talk about Ryan's immortality because he knows the Creator punishes mortals for knowing of immortality but he doesn't know what that punishment is. He's never asked. Ryan tried to tell him once and Nick just kept yelling over him. 

Aidan Devine and Ryder Wilde -- Nick knows Aidan and Ryder are Ryan's parents. At first it was totally fine because the two looked like giants to the little 10 year old but now it's kind of weird because Ryder has to pretend to be Ryan's brother. He never talks about Ryan's parents immortality though. 

Samson Richardson -- Nick hates Samson. He's a total tool. An enemy of Ryan's is an enemy of his. Not to mention that he can't stand football. Samson sucks, why does he get all this special treatment? Ryder tells him that Samson is actually a very good quarterback but Nick can't stand to compliment someone so arrogant. There's no way Nick will ever feed his ego. 

Violet Monroe -- Ok so going after a taken girl is never ok but Nick still always suggests going to talk to Ryan whenever he sees Violet. Basically, Nick is constantly saying, "Sooooooooo! Violet! How do you feel about Ryan?" with far too many winks and nudges. Ryan always warns him not to bug Violet too much otherwise Nick will scare her off but Nick never listens. Ryan worries too much about that girl, anyway. She's totally into him, he knows it. Besides, even if she's not, can't Ryan just pull some immortal charm or something? 

Brooke Lancaster -- She's different than all the stupid popular assholes in the school. No one believes him (other than Violet) but Nick is sure about it. Every time they get to do a lab in Chemistry, Nick gets a little bit happier. He really likes Brooke. Hell, he can't deny it, he has a huge crush on her. Brooke half the time will indicate that she might reciprocate Nick's feelings but then the next day she'll go back to no longer joking around or flirting with Nick. Brooke makes his head spin but he won't give up on her. He'll win her over, he's sure of it. No one can resist the Conners men charm!!!

Secret: Violet is a drug addict, wants to break away from popular crowd and may have feelings for Ryan and not her boyfriend.

Violet parties just as hard as she falls in love. In fact, she's a lover not a fighter. She's know around the school as the party girl but there's more to her than what meets the eye. If anyone took the time to get to know her, they'd know that she was actually kindhearted, shy and insecure. However, she's surrounded by the "in" crowd which leads her to often be misjudged as being just as heartless as her boyfriend, the star quarterback. Secretly she wishes to break away from this crowd AND her boyfriend but she's very worried about being alone. Violet doesn't know if she can handle being alone. Violet hates being left alone with herself. All her insecurities come flooding back to her when she's alone. Sometimes she feels like she should just stay in her room all day, never to come out. 

CONNECTIONS:

Ryder Wilde -- Rock stars are really cool. Ryder's the only boy in the school who might actually be just as popular as Samson. He doesn't seem like an asshole, either. He actually reminds Violet a lot of herself--quiet but friendly. He doesn't call too much attention to himself off stage. Violet envies Ryder's relationship with his girlfriend, Aidan. They seem to really love each other. 

Ryan Wilde -- Ryan has a crush on Violet but she has no idea. All she knows is that her boyfriend hates this guy. Violet doesn't really understand why. Every time she's talked to him in History, he's been very sweet. There's something more to him...she just can't put her finger on it. She's drawn to him. It seems like he's actually taking the time to get to know her and as bad as it sounds, she craves his attention. He actually LISTENS to her when she speaks. 

Samson Richardson -- She fell madly in love with him at one point. Somewhere along the line she found herself questioning who he really was. Violet likes to keep herself in the dark about him. She gets scared when thinking about if she really knows the guy she's been with for the last 2 years. Does she know who this guy even is anymore? Why don't they ever talk anymore? Samson walks into school with her, his arm around her shoulders like she's his property but never does he actually pay attention to what she says anymore. Violet swears if she hears "yeah, yeah, ok, whatever, babe." she's going to just start bawling. She never feels important to him anymore.
