i think it's not exactly common knowledge that fonts appearing in your web browser are readily accessible for you to download (without paying any money), that's how browsers work. for example, let's take the font Openreach which appeared in one of my recent detection posts. This font is specifically designed for the British telecommunications company, which is also called Openreach. It's not widely available for people to use. But say, for whatever reason, I want to make a meme that uses this font. First, I can go to the company's website, where the font is being used. Then I can right click and choose 'Inspect element' (if you don't see this option, you might have to enable some sort of developer option in your web browser). Then I could hypothetically click on the network section, which for me is the 4th option in inspect element. I can select that only fonts are shown. Then, I should see files with .woff or .woff2 endings. (it stands for web open font format). Then I can right click a file and save it. Once I have the file, I can convert it to a ttf file and install it on my computer how i'd install a font normally.
Wow, now I could use that font in ways the telecommunication company never intended. Hooray.
