cirno day celebrations 9/9/25
100 Olezgiruf as George Swabitt in Hells Kitchen (28), 2009 by 100 Olezgiruf (OpenSim)
You know I can never pass up a train ride, especially when I see one that’s coming along built by Gabe Sterling. He has some of the nicest and most realistic trains in the whole grid.
I was standing in the Calleta Hobo Infohub when I heard that loud and distinctive horn from a freight train, but, wait!... this ACTUALLY sounded like I was standing there IRL and a train was appraoching. So curiosity got the better of me, and lo and behold, it was Gabe’s newest train he was testing out! So I jumped ont one of the wells and took a seat. I was instantly noticed by the engineer )Gabe) and he once again greeted me to come along for the ride.
Our final destination was Bhaga Station, and about half way there Gabe informed me that the Conductor’s seat was available in the engine’s cab, so I anxiously took it and hung my head out the window for a nice breeze.
It’s always nice being able to explore the grid, and having a front row seat on a train like this and not be the engineer is sometimes more fun that actually being the engineer; it gives you the opportunity to actually sight-see and just take in all of the surroundings that is Second Life.
