The long wait for new music from Before The Streetlights has now came to a close. On December 11th, 2015, Before The Streetlights came out with their third release, “Westward.” The release is on many different platforms and has a track list of five songs. As iTunes puts them in the category of pop, but while listening, one genre doesn’t come to mind. Before The Streetlights brings a somewhat familiar sound to attention, but the sound is unique as it is mixed with every inch of themselves. Before The Streetlights has created their sound to become their own and that’s part of the whole charm of Before The Streetlights. This band is a good listen for anyone who has ears, but could be for lovers of State Champs, Fall Out Boy and many other great bands.
Compassion, and motivation are only two words to describe the band Before The Streetlights; their new album “Westward” shows off these qualities and many more. Before The Streetlights spent two weeks in Los Angeles, California recording their new album, rewriting music and double-checking to make sure everything was 100% their best; This whole process took around eight months, including the process of them filming and releasing their new music video. Before The Streetlights released a single almost a month before their new music got put out called, “Goodnight, Goodbye,” which also is the song of the music video they recently published.
The response Before The Streetlights got from their fans, was outstanding, there was many people speaking out to them about their music, and the preorders on the album showed how many people love Before The Streetlights sound and could not wait to hear more. Not only are all the fans excited to continuously play Before The Streetlights new CD; The band members Josh Courtney, Tyler Pritchett, Zach Schindler, and Tyler Courtney are all very ecstatic with the outcome, they are confident that this is the best music they have ever put out there. Before The Streetlights feel as if this album is such a great representation of where they were at that time, and they cant wait to make more music and leave another stamp on the music scene.
While listening to “Westward,” the feelings of the writers come through the lyrics; Before The Streetlights explained that they wrote all in the moment, which makes the journeys they take us through in the music all the more better. Each and every song means something to all four of them, and they all incorporate their influences, creating a wonderful mix of many bands and genres. Before The Streetlights five song release is amazing, but all the fans are still craving for more.
