#cursedimage . The short story: my website was attacked several times after posting research about getting people off opiates. . . . Earlier i had mentioned that my website had been hacked after positing the study on using St John’s wort to help people quitting opioids. Since then, there were several more hacks, which redirected visitors and search engiens away from the site and eventually led to it being shut down. These attacks persisted even after adding two layers of protective software. Sometimes it was hard for the people on the server side to reactivate the site after all detected malware was removed. One of them described it as the most sophisticated hack they had ever seen. . . . The first attack was a few hours after posting the research the first time. Days later, i posted it again, and the site was down again within minutes. Then there were a few incidents within 24 hours, and another one five days later. After that (and some additional firewall software), there was another havk that was not as successful, but still made the site act weird (it stayed open but redirects opened in seperate windows). Then after adding a final (to date) layer of security, there have been no more successful intrusions, but dozens of unsuccessful attempts coming (apparently) from different ip addresses. For the last few days there haven’t been any more. . . . So on the whole it appears that someone really, really wanted my website to stay down, but as of now it is staying up. . . . #herbal #hacking #addiction #malware #opiateaddiction #suppression
