29/05/2023: Lubrication Interval
Odometer: 99,918.2 miles
Oh it’s that time again, same truck but different location. Since moving my mileage has dropped significantly and therefore the 6000 miles oil change exceeds a year now. Now to be clear this isn’t due to laziness or being cheap, I’m fully aware that to ensure engine longevity regular oil changes are ‘imperative’ but given I’m an engineer by trade, I’ve collected a sample from this oil change and sending it off for analysis.
So here’s a breakdown of what oils and parts I’ve used on this service.
Millers Oils EE Performance C3 5w-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil
Oil Filter (Genuine) Part Number: LPX100590LR
Rotor Filter (Genuine) Part Number: ERR6299BB
Sump Plug: TRL100040
Sump Drain Plug Washer, Copper: CDU1001L
There’s aspect of this service that aren’t necessarily required as part of the 6k/1 year interval, but I’m happy to do it anyway.
I’ll be sure to share results once I’ve got them back from Millers
