Hi! So you know about those web toons about George Liquor John K made a while ago? I was just wondering what you thought about them, personally I don’t think there very good. The animation is strange and reminds me of point and click flash games, and the characters (except George Liquor) are bland stereotypes/archetypes. I also not a big fan of the character designs, Jimmy at first looked kinda cute but when I looked longer and harder the more creepier he looked. Ernie and Slab look fine just kinda boring, and Sody pop looks like if John couldn’t decide to make her look realistic or cartoony and made her way to sensual for a 15 year old. So those are my thoughts let me know what you think, bye!

valid note on style; though flash was epic for the industry at that time it would be a few years before animators really smoothed out the wonkiness. the whole project annoys me tbh, it just seems like such a lame return for the crowd funding that enabled it.

meh characters, Jimmy just kind of felt off and creepy idk there's just no character development and Sody is literally a caricature of how a young female appears to a predatory male imo. Like I'm ok with the trope of a sexy girl being pursued a la the old Tex Avery cartoons but I gotta say I have issues with how John sKum portrays women in his work.

Sorry this was a rather negative take eeee. What got you interested to take a look, if you're open to share? Always good to hear other sides :)))

Okay, sorry if I'm annoying you, but i've gotta ask. You said you like kotlc better than hoo, so I raise a new question.

Well, two questions, actually, if we're getting technical

1) do you like Sophie or Annabeth better

2) do you like Leo or Fitz better

Sorry if I'm bugging you I just have to know haha

no bugging i can answer asks like this faster than i can answer ones that are like "hello story pls <3" and a very small part of me sighs EXTREMELY deeply because it requires effort but many things in life require effort

also

1) Sophie. I relate to Sophie on a deeply personal level, and as much as I look up to Annabeth as a person and a character, and see her as a huge, powerful, badass, inspiration for me, I do not see myself as an Annabeth person. I am a Sophie. And because of that, when I read Sophie's stories, or write about Sophie, I relate to her on such a deep level that I just, kind of. Write? I don't have to think about how I characterize her all that much, because I know so intimately how she acts and feels. Everyone else I have to think about. Sophie's just natural.

2) Once again, the kotlc character takes the cake. I may just be more emotionally attached to Fitz at this point, but I've written stories about the guy and dissected him like I'd dissect a crab in science class. And I really love how realistic he is, and how... open-ended? he is? Leo gets a ton of emotion and personality dissection in HOO. There's not much left to talk about for him. Meanwhile, Fitz is closed off, a story behind a wall cannot be climbed. Not by the reader, through Sophie. So, there's so much more to him. Idk. Also, I have anger issues and would rather scream until my voice gives out than cry so I also relate to Fitz on a deep level.

Why is it that whenever K-pop fans see UNWANTED kisses between idols of the same gender, their knee-jerk reaction is to call said idols gay? As opposed to telling their faves to respect other people’s boundaries?

OOOH I saw this one and knew I needed my computer to answer because it was too big and good!!

Niall: I love my boy, but I think he’s in a bit of an insular bro world and should make more effort to work with women. I’m hopeful about NH2 (because I am always hopeful) but I WORRY!! And to spill some image tea. Well. I think Niall plays at being an open book (with his social media presence) but continues to obscure his actual inner and private lives in much the way he always has. AND GOOD FOR HIM!! 

Liam: I think Liam is actually more at sea than any of the boys and it’s so damn sad. Also I feel as though all his duets and collabs are a way for him to maintain the energy he had with 1D, and that he’s not sure of what it looks like for him to perform solo regularly-- witness his backup dancers and the million personae he’s gone thru. HOWEVER!! I think all this is just about him as a performer. I feel like his personal life is actually incredibly solid, and he’s done a good job of balancing the public/private image that is so tricky for the rest of the boys. 

Louis: If I write this in like. pig latin. will it keep rads from hating me for speaking words about lou? i-ay ow-knay it-ay on’t-way. SO. Louis has had the most obvious battles in his solo career with the immense losses he’s experienced, and I think the fact that he’s continued putting out music at all is a testament to just how important music is to him. That being said, I do think that the “he’s been FORCED not to release” etc takes away his agency and is ott. He’s a perfectionist with a unique voice, and I think he’s struggled to find the right team to support him in marketing and moving forward. I think he has that now and we’re going to see amazing things from him with the album. Image-wise, (here comes the unpopular opinion for sure) I think there’s a lot to be said for maintaining the shitty status quo, in that he doesn’t actually want interviews to be about his personal life. So I doubt we’re going to see an end to the multitude of trash situations he’s in. I DON’T WANT THAT TO BE TRUE. But. Honestly? Tea. 

Zayn: I wanna not be worried about Zayn, but I am. idk what’s going on with him, but there’s something that’s not great happening bts. Icarus Falls was amazing, but it got...no push. And while his music should be getting radio play, it’s not. I don’t think it’s as simple as a lack of team support, and I just hope that whatever he’s dealing with he’s able to make it to a place where he’s able to do what he loves. 

Harry: I already did a post about Harry’s image, which is why he’s last. I’m hoping HS2 is less het and has the influence of more (any? please? Harold??) women. But as I said before, I’m just *always* hopeful, and I kinda think the signs point to more of the same stuff we had with HS1. :(  But on a posi note I will say that Harry really does do so much we don’t know about and that is something I will always hold onto with great happiness. I’m glad he’s found ways to have a private life in spite of everything.
