#Repost @bluepillar44 💎💎💎💎💎 Since the new millennium, pills have cut short the life of promising rappers at a rate far more than the bloody barrage of bullets of last century. Some can argue getting slugged down isn’t voluntary whereas pill popping and sipping drank is 100% a participatory act. These children are flirting with death, and although that is nothing new for youth culture, it speaks volumes to the pedigree of children that are being born into this world. No judgment, just observation. We LOVE talking bout how much the youth don’t give a fuck and they’re so numb. LIES!!! Mothafuckas who don’t give a fuck or who were born numb wouldn’t be so fucking weak and sensitive that every infraction on their ego causes them to empty out the medicine cabinet and over indulge in medicating themselves. Are they numb by nature, nurture or lack thereof..or is it all nihilism? Money ain’t even good enuff for these babies..they require something else to fill up the missing gaps, and it isn’t racks. Are we suppose to believe that the pain being received by this generation is more penetrating than the pain of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s? When we witnessed niggas who REALLY didn’t a fuck and had nothing to live for, for real? The Deathwish Era? Them dudes from the grimey 90’s ain’t have no internet. It was the block or bust. Nowadays the youth, and black youth in particular have plenty of worlds that they can exist in, sometimes simultaneously, thanks to the internet. Do you ever step back and ask yourself what are you witnessing? I’m only asking cuz y’all got children growing up during these days and times where they are being impressed upon in the same fashion that the streets took a hold and molded us in our youth. But the game done changed and the terrain got rearranged. They full blown feens y’all. And let’s do the knowledge..how many niggas die everyday B? From violence? So rappers getting shot is no shock to the system..what Hov said, “numbers don’t lie.” So with that same logic if all these rappers is dying from drugs what silent majority do they represent? RIP young world. #juicewrld #healthehood #opiumwars #dailypills https://www.instagram.com/p/B52lIfYgiDX/?igshid=1trfv78p0jwok
I was really pleased with this idea for @nytimes about how China thinks about a Trade War with the US in the context of the opium wars. #illustration #drawing #tradewar #opiumwars #editorialillustration #NYTimes #economy #shippingcontainer #onmoney

A Quote From My History Notes (I don’t remember writing this)
In reference to the British colonies in America during the Opium Wars I wrote,
“There were still colonies, but then there weren’t cause the colonies were like, ‘no’. Some where in 1775 during the Canton trade some Boston peeps merchants who were RICH said, ‘hey, yeah, we’ll pay for the country.’ Which is why being a drug dealer is good.”
