The Glühen Pirates has a fairly large sized crew of twenty-eight that sails Erinnerung, a ship that appears to be a heavily fortified ironclad floating battery which houses not just the crew, but a laboratory and an intricate system of clear pipes that connect all parts of the ship for use of the fishmen and merfolk on the crew. Well known for terrorizing South Blue, Glühen quickly rose to fame (and "public" enemy #1) when they successfully sacked Tsumako Island, a well known hot spot for Slavery, freeing all the slaves there were set to be auctioned off there. And swelled their ranks taking them from a meager 5 man crew to over twenty filled not just with humans, but Fishmen, Merfolk, Dwarves, Minkmen -- anyone, so long as they had a bone to pick with slavery.
It is implied by Emil that he is the only Devil Fruit user there (because he thinks it's incredibly silly to be a pirate that can't swim). The members of the crew think First Mate Touka also has one though, since when Emil falls overboard (which happens sadly often when an experiment goes awry) it's normally one of the other ∅5 (normally Edward) who goes after him but any other time the Captain screws up, the man's in his face. Touka neither confirms or denies these accusations just like he ignores questions about how the Capt's in bed.
Although there are nearly thirty members of the Glühen Pirates, only five (six) of them have achieved the notoriety of having large bounties on their heads...
Mad Scientist Emil Yuune is the Captain of the Glühen Pirates and the possessor of the Horo Horo no Mi. He's skilled enough to easily take out slave collars at a distance and concoct all sorts of odd things, especially machines.
Solemn Oath Touka Welsh is the First Mate and Emil's boyfriend right hand man. It's heavily implied that he's from Karate Island (or at least trained there), either has a Devil Fruit or can't swim, and has some sort of relationship with the captain, although the exact details are murky. He has many small weapons and a single katana named Ran, and normally stays silent unless with the original Glühen crew... Or yelling shi-ne! at his enemies. (probs rename to "Moody Evans")
Dr. Louis Robert, better known as Strange Doctor Rob, vastly prefers that everyone call 'em 'Doc'. Obviously he acts as the Glühen doctor, and the voice of reason. Or the voice who thinks blowing up walls when there's a perfectly good door is a bit odd. He's older than the rest of the crew and is from Baterilla. There was a certain woman that he watched when working as an apprentice to the island's doctor that he still remembers fondly.
Widower Edward Bolton is Glühen's shipwright and despite his age has been a member of eight different pirate crews and one time a Marine although honestly that was a mistake, he thought they were acting!. He prefers to stay on the ship and maintain the canons and hates the epithet that the Marines gave him. Use it at your own peril.
Daughter of Sea Kings Bikuni Yao, the koi mermaid navigator. Despite her youthful appearance, she and Doc are about the same age, and get along fairly well. She used to be a barkeep and enjoys mixing drinks for the rest of the crew. The fearsome epithet is from the fact that she has been known to 'communicate' with Sea Kings. It's really nothing as awesome, just that _ realized that Sea Kings are as intelligent (or more so) than everyone else, and she talks to them. If they want to help her out every so often, that's their prerogative! She uses Haoshoku Haki and was the one who trained Emil to use it.
Heaven's Thief Sable (no known family name) is a rather new addition to the crew, as she's only been picked up since they got around the second half of the Grand Line. A world renowned thief who causes just as many problems when she's not stealing things! (essentially, if we ever encounter Glühen prior to Sabaody Archipelago, this character would not be on the crew yet!)
〈sexuality〉 Pansexual - Cattleya falls in love with beauty... Kuja's beauty, at that.
〈race〉 kuja
〈occupation〉 shipwright
〈relationships〉 ???
〈strengths〉 Busoshoku Haki、Snake partner
〈weaknesses〉 The woman's easily distracted by what goes around her and can often lose focus. Her control over Haki isn't very good either, but hey at least she doesn't have Haoshoku!
