Jojo-ized version of my pal Greg Werner (@ochimusha108) for a One Piece Podcast clip show.
Greg has made himself into pretty much a celebrity over there in Japan. He's been on national tv a few times, works at Shueisha, has written two official One Piece trivia books, has his own column on the official One Piece website, and that Chopper Hat is his trademark. And of course, he was integral in making The One Piece Podcast Goes to Japan documentary a reality. Greg's a great guy and I'm glad to call him a friend.
I haven't really watched Jojo and the most I read was Phantom Blood a few years ago, so this is my first foray into exploring Araki's style. Very shounen. Also, he draws noses really funky. Figuring out how to distinguish Greg's actual human nose vs. Araki's weird triangle nose was the toughest part. Greg's face structure is also different from Jojo (who's isn't?) so this was a little more than just a tracejob. This is actually a complete recreation of a screenshot that I was sent, down to the background. Had a lot of fun doing this. All done in Photoshop.
