8, 10, and 45 for the writer's ask thing!
8. what time are you most productive?
Oh my god, definitely at night. I’m the world’s biggest night owl and I get the majority of my work done between 11pm and 3am. It’s just a sad commentary on my sleeping habits. I’m pretty sure everyone who has been on a Discord chat with me knows for a fact I never sleep and that’s mainly because my brain goes into overdrive when normal people like to sleep. It’s irritating especially when I get an idea that I have to “walk off” aka I’m so excited about it that I need to expel energy and I just look like a weirdo walking around in the middle of the night.
10. how do you do your researches?
I’m on the those crazy people who maps out EVERYTHING before I even begin my writing process. I need to know every single tiny little detail in order to make sure I’m capable of painting a picture in your head exactly how I would see it. On top of that, I’m very into authenticity which of course no reader ever cares about. I once planned an entire Top Gun AU before Lena posted hers and I knew I couldn’t compete with it so I abandoned the project however I spent HOURS looking up Navy carriers in the Indian Ocean to make sure to put Killian and Robin on the same ship. I looked into the naval training at Annapolis and how long it takes to become a naval aviator. I want to say I put in like six hours of research into this fic I never wrote but this is a common theme with me. I will research the fuck out of something until I know the ins and outs of it….and then never write it.
45. share the synopsis of a story you work on that you haven’t published yet
Oh god. I have so much in the WIP drawer. SO. MUCH. I have a Juke Box/Student Bar AU, I have a Law School AU that’s dropping in August. I have five million WIPs for Little Pirates including what I consider to be a very hilarious PSA on why you shouldn’t let your friends give you a tongue piercing. However, because you jived so much with this idea, I’m gonna share my Labyrinth AU synopsis:
“Henry Mills is having a bad day. He failed a math test, got benched at a cross country meet and his girlfriend broke up with him. To add insult to the injury, he’s now grounded and forced to watch his baby brother while his mother and stepfather go out for dinner. Just when he thought things couldn’t get worse, he carelessly utters eight words that change the course of evening - ‘I wish the Goblins would take you away.’ Now, Henry venture into the Underground and team up with the trapped Sarah Wiliams in order to get his little brother back from the Goblin King.
