Big Announcement (and first post)
I guess one way to kick off a blog is to go big or go home.
Optimystic is a game idea by @paper-mario-wiki that hasn’t been talked about on this website for a while. It’s a 2D platformer RPG that deals with themes of Major Depressive Disorder as well as mental illness in general.
I am pleased to announce that Optimystic will be showcased this weekend at PAX!
It will be showcased on Saturday the 1st of September, and Monday the 3rd of September at booth #6010 from 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM both days!
I hope to see you all there so you can play the demo of our game.

So I just met Brandon Boyd at the opening of his art exhibit at a small gallery here in Dallas. I’m still reeling. He’s one of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever met. What it was like meeting and talking to him is what I imagine it’s like when you meet Niall and Harry. Very calm, very attentive, and so, so gracious.
I actually had a conversation with him and wasn’t totally awkward. I got to thank him for the inspiration his art and music have given me, especially when I was dancing. And seeing his art work in person has given me so many ideas for potential projects at work and outside of work.
I can’t believe how fortunate I was to meet him and fortunate I was to find out that his work is being shown in a gallery near me.
