Kaito who becomes immortal due to Pandora and Shinichi, whose body doesn't age due to the Apotoxin however Haibara has found a cure that would allow Shinichi to return to his original body and a normal life.

Shinichi who chooses to stay in the small immortal body even though he fought to return to his OG body and life because he refuses to leave Kaito behind and let him suffer eternity alone.

Kaito who can't die vs Shinichi who can, he just doesn't age. So he has to stop his tiny detective from getting himself killed because he keeps forgetting he doesn't share the same immortality Kaito does. For gods sake Shinichi stop throwing yourself off buildings-
