Two car doors slammed. Her plan and strategy was out the window the moment she laid eyes on him. Storming over him with her brother in tow, it took all of her self control to not deck him in the face.

All of his friends quieted as she approached, but he was the last to notice her. She only caught a glimpse of his look of shock before she shoved him backwards, watching him trip over himself and fall to the floor.

His friends called out in confusion and anger, attempting to close in on her. Her brother protectively stepped beside her. But he didn’t need to; as he stared up at her from the ground, he held up a hand to signal his friends to relax.

“What did I do this time?”

She was visibly shaking, her eyes welling with tears as all of her emotions came crashing down. Choosing to ignore him trying to mask his concern, she shakily pointed a finger at him and said, “It’s your fault. My little brother is in the hospital. Because of you.”
