Mosaic in Cygnus - Sadr Region I have been learning how to process by removing stars and adding them back in later and it had been a gamechanger. Typically this has been a straight forward reprocess but for this image, being so large, it was near impossible to clean up the stars from the original edit. Tried starting from scratch but didn't work well, then something clicked last night and I spent 2 hours for 4 edits (processes take a long time on a 10gb PSB file!). In the end. I was able to clean up the stars and get this as a final product. . Stacked in DeepSkyStacker, combined in Astro Pixel Processor, final processing in Photoshop . NGC 7822 - The Question Mark Nebula This nebula is found in the constellation Cepheus. This is another target inspired by @robert_leach90 that I was finally able to get started on. Because it's more North then East, this is currently a difficult target for me, and that doesn't include the clouds I had rolling in! NGC 6992, the Eastern Veil Nebula. A few weeks ago I posted an image of NGC 6990, the western veil nebula. This image is of the eastern most edge of a vast supernova remnant called the Cygnus Loop. A star some 1900 light years away exploded 5000-8000 years ago and ever since that time these clouds of highly ionized gases and dust have been expanding outward. Currently it is the size of six full moons but cannot be seen with the naked eye. this is the result of four hours of exposure time.
