Sooo I haven’t been on for most of yesterday and today because I had surgery last night

On the upside I am now able to describe the experience of coming out of general anaesthesia (for future Obi scenarios)

I tried to ask the anaesthesiologist to teach me to put in an iv because they don’t teach us that 'til final year..and the anaes guy was happy to teach me as his junior until he double-punctured my vein by accident

Which was hilarious

Also now because of this rotation I have a vague idea of how to deliver babies and do a whole lot more practical stuff

Which is good because what’s coming up on The Silent Song will depend on this very much :)

#the problem is I've been so busy I haven't been able to write #being a med student and a patient at the same time is amusing #or awkward #depending on the surgery and the doctors #the younger one looked very embarrassed when I was introduced as a junior #welp #personal
