Pointing is communication! Crying is communication! To stop crying is communication! Just because a disabled person cannot, for whatever reason, communicate with what you recognize as words does NOT MEAN that they cannot communicate! WHY YOU WANT ONE. I don’t care that you want to ‘help’ your autistic relative #demanding a cure only harms us #and demanding a cure because YOU haven’t figured out the concept of communication is YOUR problem #and YOUR ableism

Never underestimate my ability to mimic character personality tics and quirks.

If I'm reading or watching a show for an extended amount of time for the next few days I can guarantee that I'll have picked up either a character's specific intonations when speaking or a few of their non-verbal tics.

#I tend to mimic lots of people as well #Normally I don't think about it #Because when I do it gives me the same awkward sensation as when one suddenly becomes conscious of their own breathing #Or blinking
