Idea dump: a fic about lesbian Fantine and Simplice planning and carrying out the assassination of Tholomyès. Came to me while listening to my autism playlist in the car (I don't remember how, but it did). Set sometime in the 19th century, though I do not know precisely when. Tholomyès is successful but horrible; he has accrued much wealth, but he has mistreated many women, to put it lightly. Fantine and Simplice run a private detective agency (they are NOT in any way associated with the police; thinking more like what appears in the Sally Lockhart books, if anyone here has read them), and have noticed a pattern of malevolence in Tholomyès' doings. Of course, the police don't care and politicians suck up to his wealth. So, Fantine and Simplice take it into their own hands to get rid of the rich and powerful man who, if left alive, will only continue assaulting women.

(Yes, I am alluding to certain men in the US and what I believe should happen to them.)
