I can't get this out of my head.

I've never seen an animal die before. It was so young. Those fucking flies wouldn't leave it alone. I shouldn't have done this, especially because of where I work, but I pet it. I held my hand on it's belly trying to feel it breathe, and when it did it broke my heart because it didn't breathe for a long time and then out of nowhere it jerked and gasped and then stopped breathing again.

And I had to leave it there, I had to leave it because I was working. I had to leave it there with those fucking flies. It probably just got put into a plastic bag and thrown in the dumpster.

I can't. I just can't stop thinking about it.
