The New Ideas - Summaries (Ish)
So remember those two ideas i mentioned about an hour ago in the writing update no one read? (this one?) Well, Basically, i’ve got two ideas that i’m sort of developing and seeing how they work, and i thought i’d share the ideas with you guys to get some EXCITEMENT for them and also to see what the general public likes best! They both have no titles yet, so they’ll just be called Ghosts and Mermaids for now. Also i haven’t written up “official” summaries, so these are just me badly trying to explain a plot i only have half formed.
Ghosts: so basically there’s this kid, Everett, and he killed himself twenty years ago, and then was brought back into a semi-life again by his old friend Frida, who is now 37 who is a death witch. The whole story is basically him trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life once he graduates high school (for the first time) as he goes on a road trip with Frida, his best friend Reina who’s mother just died, and Torren who is running from their parents and Frida half adopted, to help save one of Frida’s friend’s mom from dying like Reina’s did (i’ll give you one guess to figure out who convinced Frida to do this). This is really confusing and uninteresting sounding in a summary, but it’s basically just a lot of introspection and thoughts on life and death and figuring out who you are when you are young. Very character driven.
Mermaids: This ones got a pretty basic plot and honestly might wind up just being a novella length even if i do continue it, but nothing wrong with that. basically, this kid, Bayani,’s father killed a dolphin when fishing, and the merfolk are pissed, killed his father, and now won’t let the fish into the family’s cove so they can you know, get food, so he goes out on the sea to beg them to let the fish into their cove again, and they wind up almost killing him. A merman named Kuroshio saves him and keeps him in a cave on a magical island populated solely by Fair Folk for a while, until the fae find him and Shio sends him home, except now Bayani loves him, and yadda yadda, romance crap. Told you, pretty basic and stereotypical, but i love mermaids and fairies, so go with it please.
Which sounds slightly better yall?
